Let me talk for a moment about the importance of COLOR in Misterican culture again because it has been a hot minute since I explained Mist and I did not have this many color examples to my name the last time I did.
So Let's talk about MIST.
Mist is a magical substance that is contained with the lungs of a Misterican and it is kept there as vapor until they exhale. Misterican lungs are pressurized so they can store the Mist Vapors their body produces naturally. Misterican bodies make and produce Mist from the liquids and foods they consume.
I.E. meaning if a Misterican consumes alcohol - the mist their body produces and stores will become alcoholic in nature and they will remain intoxicated until they release that vapor from their lungs.
Misterican Mist is produced in different colors and that color is dependent on the color one is born to.
Misterican Mist exists in every color of the rainbow excluding black and the only Misterican ever born to the color White (the hue) is one Valkoinen Pilvi / White Cloud -> aka Kumo! Please see the religious notions behind this here.
But the Color of one's mist is important because the Color of one's mist will tell you the power it contains.
Mistericans all possess a color to their souls and that is the color of their Mist - and you can tell what color a Misterican is by the color of their Hair and sometimes their eyes. Misterican hair color = Misterican Mist color and Mist colors contain different status effects that go into effect as soon as that Mist is exhaled into the air.
The Misterican in question cannot stop this status effect from activating, it simply does as soon as they exhale and that's why they wear masks to filter their mist from their breaths to prevent the effects from effecting those around them.
So the status effects that exist within Mist Colors are as follows:
🟥 - Red - Paralysis 🟧 - Orange - Silence 🟨 - Yellow - Confuse 🟩 - Green - Toxic / Poison 🟦 - Blue - Slow 🟪 - Purple - Healing 🟫 - Brown - Stone 🩶 - Silver - Charm 🩷 - Pink - Blind 🤍 - White - Sleep
Mistericans DO NOT control these status effects. They activate the second they exhale their mist into the air and anyone who inhales their mist will be affected but there are a few conditions that apply
The thicker the Mist, the stronger the effect
The lighter in color it is, the more potent the effect
The more potent the effect, the longer it lasts
The thicker the Mist is, the faster it works
Bonded Mistericans are unaffected by each other's mist powers.
Mistericans who soul bound to a royal will have the potency of their Mist heightened by that royal's own power.
Same Color Mistericans do not affect each other. (aka blue doesn't affect blue, green doesn't affect green, etc etc )
Mist effects will wear off given time or if something happens to the source of said mist. So if the Mist User dies the effects would lift immediately and of their Mist in the area would dissipate instantly.
✨ Special Rule ✨ - The Child of White, due to his Immortal Godly Status is unaffected by any and all Mist effects. This includes healing.
The reason lighter color = more power is due to the fact that Lady Tiamat, the Celestial Mother of all Mist's color is White (hue) so the closer one's mist is to white the more power it possesses.
Mistericans also can be trained to use their Mist for a controlled form of Magics known as Mist Magics and Summoning. The users of this type of Mist Magic are know as Mist Mythics or simply "Mythics". You can read about them here.
But this is why 9 times out of 10 why Kumo and the other Mistericans are probably wearing a mask when meeting with your muse. They exhale status effects and color matters.
Now if Kumo takes his mask off and it's just a light mist and not really filling up the space around him - its going to take a while for the effect of sleep to kick in, but please be aware that no matter what, if Kumo has his mask off he will eventually build up a little cloud of mist around him. The seeing your breath when it's cold out thing? That's Kumo at all times when maskless.

Windaria || The Land of Soil
Windaria was a land of soul borne and was a harsh mixed climate of both desert and tree. Few forests littered the land where most soil spread over vast reaches of the ground below the clouds.
It was a place where only the hardy could survive. The sun was hot and the nights were cold no matter where one was and because of this the Windarian people that lived there were a species not to be trifled with.
The Windarian Government was an Oligarchy giving power to a small number of men who were the very top reaches of the government. More over these men were the highest reaches of the Windarian Military. Windarians valued the collective over the individual and would do whatever was necessary to make sure the collective advanced and survived.
They were a race of humanoid like beings with claws and fangs that bled the crystallization of one's soul known as Soil. They worshipped the God of Destruction and Ruler of the Soil Spiral, The Infernal Father, Bahamut. Below him were minor warriors gods but also Gods for medicine and the harvest.
Windarians worshipped the land above all. The land would give all and the land could take all away. They existed in a warrior mentality and the able bodied devoted their lives to the military, as that was the greatest way to show honor and respect for those around you. They dropped countless resources into military and weapons development to protect against the wilds of the Windaria and any invaders that could attack from upon high.
Windaria had a tendency to divide it's people depending on the color of their blood - as the color of one's soil would be reflective in the color they bled. All colors formed the collective, so all colors had a place but some were better at some skills than other and they were named accordingly. It was common practice for the color of one's soil to be reflective in a Windarian's name.
Their gift from the Infernal Father, was the Golden Gun - the Magun itself. It was said that whoever were to become the wielder of such a creation would become a war god and would be able to deal with the Misterican Threat their Celestial Brethren posed during the times of war.
Later deep into this Millennia old feud, the szél-köd tűzszünet was forged with the Misterican King, Helakanpunainen Aurinko causing a ceasefire between their people, but the ceasefire could only hold so long while the two worlds looked for the chosen wielders of their Holy Weapons of the Gods.

Warheads: Do you have a bad experience that broke off a relationship?
Candy Asks
He sat in silence for some time, clearly uncomfortable, the ridiculous offering of candy on the floor before him and warily eyed. There was something magical about the treat which caused him to suddenly seriously consider answering the visitor’s inquiry.
Bad, and... relationship? Was an event “bad” if it caused growth? Did it count as “breaking off” a relationship if it merely transformed it into another kind? Transformation was inherent to the cycle of souls, after all, and, in extension, the human nature. There was only one story he could possibly tell here, even if he did not want to. Oh, how he did not want to.
Blue orbs narrowed at the stranger as he hesitantly spoke.
“...Yes. Although it was for the best. It caused grief. But also healed. Set us on the right track.”
His hand idly traveled to the earring of blood and sap he always wore. His mind set to work on how to best evade the question at hand. But alas, he could not. A predicament, certainly, but he would endure. Conversation was simply another kind of torture.
But, even if it was bad, was it also... growth?
“Windaria was... Going through a tumultuous period when I was born. Clan wars. The reignited feud with Misterica.”
His lips formed the word “Chaos”, but he caught it between his teeth before any sound escaped his mouth. A dry swallow.
“You may know from Lisa, or the children’s stories, if you are here. Bothering me, of all people...” He growled. “I had a sister. Aura. We were separated at birth. We knew nothing about our blood. I trained as a Soil-Adherent. And she, was a Missionary. We grew close. Over our calling. Over our bond.”
A pause. “It could have... gotten out of hand, easily.”
He turned his head away. “I knew very little of my family. Death. Left alone. On streets. She traced both our beginnings to a splintered merchant family from a lower city. I trust you understand? It was a wake-up call for the both of us. But breaking hearts is simply rearranging them, sometimes. Healing... together? We had never been closer than that.”
Blue eyes widened. This was ridiculous. There was nothing here a stranger should know. No, these were his secrets and his secrets alone. He’d rather spit his own blood than these words. Why?
Black Wind was not used to speaking about his feelings. He fancied himself some weapon, as if in denial of his very own humanity, but even he knew it was all a facade, a tool to aid him on his endless quest. Inside, he was still struggling to piece back all the scattered fragments. And he was bad at it. Very bad. To begin with, he only had one hand to do the job.
Was twice the slog, that way.
It wouldn’t be long before he either shut down completely or snapped at the stranger. The latter made even more hazardous by the consistent presence of a shotgun at his hip. Slowly, both arms, flesh and metal, rose to touch at his temples. It was quite clear he had chased himself into an emotional corner and nothing else would be disclosed on the topic.
A low hum broke through the silence. “My dear, dear sister...”

HI GUYS this was a long time comin'
I give you the humanoid form of The Celestial Mother, herself - Lady Tiamat!
This is the Mother of the Mist and ruler / creator of the heavens and skies themselves. Sister to Lord Bahamut, she exists within the space of the Holy Blade - The Maken.
She was placed within the Maken by the original children of Creation and Destruction to assist with the battle against Chaos. Currently she shares the space of a body within her vessel, and the champion of her blade - Valkoinen Pilvi; the Unlimited of Salvation.
Tiamat's wings aren't always present in her humanoid form. She can "store" them within her body so they aren't in the way and they become the markings on her back. Long in the future these wings were tattoo'ed on the back of her vessel in order to mark them as the one bestowed with her power.

- Sitriini Sinfonia -
♫ The Symphonic Soul ♫
⋯✧・♪♫・✧⋯ Sitriini Sinfonia is Prince Usva's Music Instructor but also the most famous musician Misterica has ever known - setting right up in the ranks with his mother Palava Tuli. His music is widely loved and cherished and commissioned by the church often but due to a wrist injury when he was 20, Sinfonia was forced to set down his violin far more than he cares for.
He plays very little in comparison to his youth and has turned to teaching Prince Usva in place of continuing his career as a musician. He was raised in the palace along side Lord Aurinko, as his mother Tuli is one of Aurinko's soul binds and taught the young king music herself. With Aurinko only being 3 years older than Aurinko, Sinfonia sees him more as his older brother than any form of authority figure.
He's a complicated man that is basically adoptive family to the Royal Family. The King being his brother and the prince's his nephews. So it was a well kept secret for many years when Sinfonia soul bound to Prince Usva to take his position as one of his instructors. It wasn't so much against the rules because he wasn't blood but still would have been highly frowned upon and Aurinko might have been accused of favoritism should it have spread too far by the wrong people.
The wrong people being Smaragdin Syksy who found out about this little secret and used it to blackmail Sinfonia into bending to her will. She also was one of Prince Usva's instructors and didn't care for the special treatment Prince Pilvi got as the Child of White. So she blackmailed Sinfonia into "conforming" to the disparaging ways of herself and her views towards how the princes should be handled, including that of their respective soul binds.
It created a rift between himself and his youngest nephew that he fears can't ever be repaired, even when his medical complications came to light after passing out in the palace halls one day due to his heart condition, but with so much going on, it all would come to a head eventually - wouldn't it?
Once Aqua Sielu became involved it seemed his life would change forever.

Misterican Culture and Colorism
We're going to talk about the metaphorical elephant in the room when it comes to Misterica and that's colorism. It's not a good thing and it one of the greatest flaws in their society as a whole. Much like humans show bias through skin tone (racism), some Mistericans show heavy doses of bias due to the color of one's Mist (colorism) and it's nothing to be proud of.
Due to the nature of their religion, Mistericans already relate colors lighter in hue to be 'better' than others because they are 'closer to white' (the hue). This is due to the fact that their Goddess, Lady Tiamat was White ->
Please look at her when I say this so it makes sense. When I say she was "white" I do NOT mean the color of her skin. I mean her hair because that is a reflection of the color of her Mist.
I'll use Joki, Taivas and Sielu as an example of how Misterican Society talks about people. If they were being discussed in Misterican Society, skin color would never come up. They don't care. To Mistericans they're all Blue. One's hair color = the color of their Mist.
The same would be said about Kipinä, Kuu, Kukka, Sydän and Tuulta. In the space of Misterican Society they would tell you these five are all purple.
It's just the same as Sinfonia, Valo and Tuli. In the space of Misterican society they are all Orange.
The classify each other by the color of their mist and the color of their mist is told to the world around them without anyone ever speaking a word. It's the same color as a Misterican's hair no matter what, because of this Misterican considers hair color and their hair in general sacred and dyeing it is something that's never even been conceived of because no Misterican ever would.
That being said, that means Misterican Society classified it's people in the following categories:
Red - The color of the Royal Family. Red Mistericans have held the crown for thousands of years, and this color exclusively shows up within it's bloodline. The color not only is a symbol of power to them but also the sign of royalty. Red Mist's ability to cast Paralyze also gives a certain level of fear to it's bearers. Red is also a dominant trait color as it is one of the Primaries.
Orange - An average color. Many Mistericans are. Has no special qualities and carries no biases as Orange Mist's ability is to cast Silence. A secondary color that can occur in child both from parents of similar colors or because of the mixing colors of their mists.
Yellow - One of the Primaries. A dominant trait color but carries few biases that are largely over looked by the public. Yellow Mist's ability to cast Confusion makes some tread with caution around these people but they are otherwise treated just the same as everyone else.
Green - A secondary color, related to by the public to danger and death. Largely found within the space of the military due to Green Mist's poison nature. It casts Toxic upon exhale and can kill those who inhale it at varying speeds. The only secondary color that carries a secondary effect within it's main. (I.E. Yellow-Green Mist will both confuse you and kill you)
Blue - The last of the primaries and a dominant trait. The first to be considered a "Holy Color" in all shades and tints due to it's relation to Tiamat. Valued highly despite Blue Mist's ability to cast Slow when the user exhales. Highly respected color, even more so the lighter it gets. Considered reliable and dependable. Treated a little bit higher than everyone else.
Purple - A secondary color but the second to be considered a "Holy Color" in all shades and tints due to it's relation to Tiamat as well. Highly valued and considered a respectful color. These people are sought out to be friends and companions in society due to Purple Mist's ability to cast Regen or healing when the user exhales. Considered the color to represent all things medical. This color probably has the easiest time in Misterican Society after Red.
Pink - A tint of red. Should be considered valuable due to it's white nature of it's hue but is instead shunned for Pink Mist's ability to cast Blind when the user exhales. Considered dangerous but less so than other colors. This color is avoided at near all cost and most of its bearers end up in military positions due to their mist's ability.
Brown - A blended tone that is fairly uncommon but not completely unheard of. Avoided by most due to Brown Mist's ability to cast Stone when exhaled. Largely found in military positions due to their mist's abilities. Brown Mistericans have a habit of keeping their masks on at near all times like their green counterparts, and don't make friends outside of their own color because of the nature of their mist. They are also commonly employed by the royal family.
Silver - The Holiest of Colors after White and the symbol of the Church. Silver Mistericans have held power in the Church and the Head of the Religious Council for as long as most MIstericans can remember. Much like the King is Red, the Piipsa (Bishop) is Silver. The Piispa is the head of the Religious Council and Leader of the Church. They are also responsible for half of Misterica's government as their word is extremely valued. Silver Mist's ability to cast Charm can make those around them far more agreeable than they were before but no one seems to notice or say anything about it....
White - The color of Lady Tiamat, the Celestial Mother herself. The Holiest of all Colors and considered the Supreme Color. Misterica's entire religion is built around the worship of this color. Misterican Religion dictates that the Misterican born of this color will be known as the "Child of White" and will be Misterica's destined Savior. The Child of Salvation, themselves. Only one Misterican was ever born to this color as prophesied. White Mist possess the ability to cast Sleep upon exhale.
All this being said, Mistericans also have feelings towards the color Black (the actual hue) and they aren't good ones. They feel this way because they relate the color Black to Lord Bahamut of the God of the Soil ->
So before I go into this I remind you. Mistericans DO NOT classify beings by skin tone. They classify them by the color of their Mist, so when I say "Mistericans don't like Black" I mean the actual hue of Black like paint, NOT SKIN TONE.
So as a reminder:
Aamunkoitto is Pink. Joki is Blue. Kristalli is Pink. Liekki is Green. Palo is Yellow.
If you want the fastest way to categorize a Misterican, simply look at the color of their hair.
All on the same page? Cool. Good.
So due to Bahamut's place within Misterican Religion as "The God of Destruction" and his connection to the color Black, the Mistericans have a very strict view of the color.
Misterican Religion dictates that a great dark will come to destroy the world and when it does it will be met by a "Child of White" who will bring about Salvation but it also dictates that of a "Child of Black" to which that child is called "the child of destruction".
Mistericans view Black as a bad omen and the color of death. Black Mist does not exist but if it did they would have exiled its user no doubt. They are so tied into the belief in Black being a bad omen / ill will / the color of death that they will not wear it. They will wear deep greys but they will not wear black.
The only time a Misterican is seen wearing the color Black is when their Sielun Värit will turn such a color after they are declared a tenet breaker.
That being said Mistericans will also not wear the color White, no matter their own tone because it is the holiest of colors and therefore meant for only the holiest of beings. Only the Child of White is allowed to wear such a color as it marks them as the Celestial Mother's holy vessel.
This is where the Church comes into play on this subject, because Misterica's government is divided into two sections. The Church and the Crown or The Religious Council and the Royal Family. I'm saying this to establish that Misterica's church held the same amount of power over the government as the royal family did. They lived in a theocracy. The Church held power.
So that means when the Church declared certain colors (green, brown and pink) as "less than" or "dangerous" or even went so far as the say "The Celestial Mother loves them less" or "They were her accidental creation" that means most of the populace took that seriously and began to avoid, talk about and segregate the other colors.
It makes it excessively difficult for Mistericans of Pink, Green or Brown to exist in society fully as they are often shown much prejudice and turned down for things like applications for housing or jobs. Many of these colors are impoverished and treated extremely poorly.
On top of this, Mistericans biases show up by simply judging a person by what colors they choose to wear and it's the reason most tend to stay within the boundaries of their own color families because Mistericans will make judgements on each other solely based on the abilities of the mist that color belongs to.
An example of this is how the Royal Knights all wear blue - a holy color and most Mistericans in the medical field will wear purple somewhere on their person as purple mist has healing properties.
Furthermore, The Crown clashes with the Church on these claims and beliefs - saying they are "ludicrous" and "baseless claims found no where in the sacred texts" and that The Church is fear mongering against other colors when they should stand together as a kingdom and they have bigger threats to worry about like the Windarians so they shouldn't be separating each other.
This has public belief divided and most Mistericans torn on what they should believe and it causes a political divide to deepen further between those who side more with The Crown and those who side more with The Church.
And if it doesn't make the divide worse, The Crown backs its claims so thoroughly that 70% of the Palace's employ are Mistericans of the colors Green, Pink and Brown. As if the Royal Family just needs to make a point.
In truth there are no Misterican less than to one another and the Church is fear mongering for it's own gain, but that's another post. Colorism runs the kingdom rampant and has for many many years and it's only become worse since Hopea Sumu's family has come into power.

Misterican Culture || Names
So brain just realized I never explained the culture surrounding Misterican names, so I'm going to use a few of them as examples here.
Misterican Names come in two parts - a first name and a second and most of the time they are composed of 'color + thing' but their are exceptions to this rule - they still function in two parts however.
Kumo for example, his name is 'Valkoinen Pilvi' meaning 'White Cloud'.
Mistericans don't have middle or last names. They have one name that comes in two parts and by Misterican Culture standards, it is excessively rude to ->
Translate their name unless given it in that form / speak it in a language that is not their own
Split it up if given a translation of that name. -> I.E. - Kumo will tell people his name is "White Cloud" so calling him "White" or "Cloud" instead of "White Cloud" is extremely rude to him.
Call a Misterican you are not close to by their first name, untranslated or not. -> I.E. - only those that are extremely close to Kumo would be allowed to call him "Valkoinen" and nothing else.
It is more common place to address a Misterican by their second name, instead of the first.
I.E. -> I refer to them as "Sielu" and and "Sinfonia" not "Aqua" (awk-vah) and "Sitriini." (C-tree-knee)
To call a Misterican by their first name without being close to them is excessively taboo and has the potentially to cause rifts and problems to arise when interacting with them.
(Muses are still welcome to do this because they wouldn't know, but just don't get surprised when the Mistericans get mad about it.)
It is intimate for a Misterican to use another's first name. This is generally reserved for family, extremely close friends, and bonded pairs (couples).
Revon will call Kumo "Valkoinen" because he raised him and despite that being his Liege, he still sees Kumo as his son.
Kumo has called Revon by first name (Revon Tulet = Northern Lights) his whole life but that's simply what the man prefers. There are always exceptions to the rule.
It's just advised to listen to the Mistericans and follow their lead or go by how they introduce themselves because they will tell a person how they wish to be called. Kumo doesn't give out his name in Misterican because he is scared of someone using it against him or hurting it.
Meanwhile the rest of the Survivors don't want to speak their name in translation because to them it sounds gross and unholy.
Misterican names are sacred in their culture and precious gifts given to them from their parents as a reflection of their place in nature. They're extremely sacred and they hold much caution in giving out their names to strangers outside their kind.
They also tend to use titles as names and have their own set of additions like humans have "Mr" and "Mrs" in English.
"Herra" (hair-ah (roll the R)) = Mr. || "Rouva" (row-vah (roll the R)) = Mrs.
Kumo is generally the one who uses titles and forms of address the most.
"Opettaja" (teacher) || o-pet-tah-ya "Vaari" (Grandpa) || Vah-ree "Setä" (Uncle) || say-tah "Täti" (Aunt) || tah- tea
Are just to name a few of the titles he'll use and he will use them in every way as saying "Opettaja" straight like a name or "Opettaja Sielu" like a title with the name attached. He does the same thing with "Setä" because he only has (1) one uncle. "Setä Sinfonia"
That's where nicknames and possessives come into play because Kumo will use the " +ni " possessive often. As in like "Aquani"
"Aqua" is Sielu's first name. "Aqua+ni" -> "Aquani" = "My Aqua"
the "+ ni" just made it possessive and added "My" onto it.
" +si" -> "Aquasi" -> "Your Aqua"
But basically at the end of the day, call a Misterican as they tell you to call them. They only have ( 1 ) one name and they will tell you how to use it and if they gave you their full Misterican name - never ever use it.
Yelling "Valkoinen Pilvi" at him is a fast way to for Kumo think you're mistreating his name and weaponizing it against him. Saying his full name gently however can be extremely intimate and build fast trust.

Misterican Culture || The Bonded Pair
Within the space of Mistericans culture there are two ways mist can be mixed, and that is by way of a Soul Bind which is in service to the royal family and that of a Love Bond which is that of two Mistericans who have formed a bonded pair or in more human terms, a couple.
Mistericans refer to their romantic counterpart as their "bond", much in the same way a royal/vassal will refer to their counter as their "bind".
But what is the difference between a bind and bond?
A bind is a pact made between two Mistericans by way of a Life Oath that can only be performed between a Royal and another Misterican (usually a teacher or a knight). This Life Oath is a Service Life Oath and it puts the Misterican in question in service to the Royal they bound to.
A bond is a relationship formed between two Mistericans in concerns a romantic intentions. So since same sex/ any gender relationships were a normally within the space of Misterican Culture, instead of using gendered language to refer to their partner they simply called them "their bond".
That's why a couple in the space of Misterican Culture was known as a "Bonded Pair". It's just the same that they didn't really refer to each other with gendered language post marriage but still continued to call them "their bond" (or their love bond) but the act of marriage was referred to as "mixing mist" because they literally did so when performing the sacred dance during that ceremony. This is how the gems of commitment were formed.
So a Misterican would never ask "Would you marry me?"
They would ask "Would you mix mist with me?" Or "Would you mix your mist with mine?"
The act of marriage is much less a legally binding act that give governmental benefit in their culture and much more an act of blending two souls into one, as their mist is "Their Soul's Breath" so to blend them is extremely intimate and personal. The act of marriage to a Misterican is something that they mean with their soils and they won't ever rush into the act without thought. Doing so means you're bound forever and to unbind two mixed souls is extremely difficult.
That being said, Mistericans love in a multitude of ways and express that love to more than just their bond. To speak "Rakastan Sinua" or "I love you" to someone who is not your bond is not only commonplace but also encouraged. They have other ways of expressing affection that are more romantic in nature.
Mistericans can hold affection for others Ina variety of ways, and romantic isn't always it. Snuggling with and purring on a loved one is not uncommon but is also normal practice for them. This applies to parents, children, siblings, teachers, friends, extended family, binds, etc.
Mistericans only live once and when they die their physical form fades out, so they are rarely shy about showing some form of physical affection, be it - hugging, cuddling, purring, rubbing their horns together, forehead kisses, or hand holding. This is why they greet each other the same way they pray because each and every encounter is a gift and a blessing.
That being said, forming a bond with another Misterican (or with one at all) is not an instant thing and it is something they take excessively seriously due to the intimate nature of things like mixing mist or kissing. Due to things like kissing at all because doing so could accidently mix mist and if they aren't careful they could hurt the other person.
Mistericans are not human and do not love like human do. Their culture and physical attributes have formed their own ways to approach this subject and they don't take it lightly. AKA Mistericans are not likely to have short relationships or flings because forming a bonded pair takes TIME and they are such an intimate step in life.
Gems are normally exchanged upon a pair being formed, normally soul gems from either side of the forming couple as a show of affection and intention - and this too is a large step for a Misterican to take as giving a soul gem is handing a loved one both proof they loved but also proof of their existence should something happen to them.

Would you ever destroy the world if it means freeing it from Chaos?
Ask my Muse 'would you ever' questions || Accepting
The swordsman grimaces as the words are spoken and he looks to the stranger with a deep frown stitched into his lips. A heavy sadness takes his form, filling his gaze to its brim as he sighs.
"Firstly traveler, I am going to need you to play that sentence over in your head again because it is both disturbing and makes me deeply uncomfortable.
Secondly, please don't dress up such an act to sound more noble than it actually is. It's genocide and I won't allow it to be spoken of as anything less than what it is. It's slaughtering the people of Wonderland for a selfish cause without looking for alternatives or understanding what Chaos actually is and anyone who thinks in such a way is both deranged and twisted. Any act that involves killing innocents is never the answer, much less children, and if you need to phrase in such a way that makes it sound like the person performing the act is in some way a hero or a savior of sorts is also deeply concerning. A murderer is still a murderer no matter what clothes they wear.
Also, even if the people of Wonderland are in an unfortunate situation, myself included - there would be nothing noble about slaughtering them for a cause that most of them aren't even privy to. It's playing God with the lives of the people and deciding what is best for them and forcing them to make a choice that the end result would then be their demise. There is no such thing as "wiping out a civilization for the better good" and anyone who thinks that way needs to set back for a minute and question their morality. Anyone who thinks that way has something fundamentally wrong with them and I'm not willing to stand here and argue about that.
Again, this all makes me deeply uncomfortable. Even more so as someone who was present for the death of both Misterica and Windaria. I've watched two entire worlds die and you ask me something like this? Even the Windarians showed more grace than this when we were locked in war with each other and it seemed the only thing they were capable of doing was trying to kill us.
Thirdly, to imply destroying the world would be somehow saving the world is flawed thinking because it doesn't even come close to the beginnings of understanding what Wonderland even is. While it has become an amalgamation of a multitude of worlds forcibly put together at its core it resides it's original lands and where Chaos originated from.
Chaos is a godly being just as I am, just as Black Wind is and to believe 'destroying the world would destroy Chaos' is nativity at its finest. Chaos is a being of it's own life force. It is neither Soil nor Mist and I have felt this when I have fused my soul to its core in our many battles. I have been one with that beast and I can tell you it is a spirit like none other. It is a being of darkness but not in the way my Other is but instead a feeling of corrupt infection.
Chaos is feeding off the negativity of the living beings of the universe and if you think "destroying the world would free it from Chaos" means you don't understand the problem at all and are looking for a fast solution, which is most likely born of your simplistic nature of looking for a fast solution instead of actually doing the work. Destroying Wonderland would only cause more problems.
Wonderland and Chaos are intertwined at their cores. Wonderland and Chaos exist because the other exists. Chaos can however be pacified because destroying Wonderland would be destroying the fabric of the universe and if you break out a single part of a window then the rest is sure shatter out right along with it. The unwilling sacrifice of Wonderland's inhabitants is not worth destroying the universe all for a rash solution.
I'm not that stupid and neither is Black Wind. Even if I don't always completely agree with the man, neither of us are willing to run a fraction of a chance that the universe would somehow not crumble into nothing at the aspect of losing one of its pillars. Black Wind might be a ruthless man at times but he isn't cruel. He isn't without mercy and he certainly isn't without a brain. Senseless violence is all this would be and neither of us operate on those terms.
I have survived the genocide of my own people and then again of the Windarians and you would ask me if I would do such an act onto another? Of course I wouldn't. Genocide is never the answer and now I seriously need you to stop and rethink that sentence, stranger because you have me worried."

The Source of Life || The Linear Mist
The Universe was created through the force of two energies. These energies came from the Goddess of Creation and the God of Destruction. The Linear Line, as the path of life from birth to death is that of the lifeforms born of the element known as Mist.
Mist is a magical substance that exists in the universe creating life through air and aquatic means. It's primarily an element in relation to the sky and the lifeforms created from it tend to hail from those areas - be it rivers, oceans, seas or the sky. Aquatic and Airborne beings tend to have souls comprised of mist. In turn, that is what is considered "A Celestial being".
Pure-Blooded Celestials are the only Mist born beings that can produce the substance within their own bodies and are in turn the closest to the Mother of all Mist, The Goddess of Creation, Lady Tiamat, herself. It is a substance that when one passes, expands the universe. So Pure-Blooded Celestials are beings that don't leave corpses.
When a Pure-Blooded Celestial dies, their DNA breaks and their physical forms fade out from existence, in turn dispersing their Mist back into the skies above. From there that Mist returns to the heavens to be guided in a way that it would be used to expand the universe further or repair parts of standing things that would otherwise be lost. Mist can create the skies, the rivers, the oceans and the seas. It can mix and become the very worlds around us to further grow out and expand the reaches of the beings that live within this grand cosmos.
All live is created from one of these two energies, whether they know it or not. The other energy being known as Soil and it is Mist's stark contrast. Mist functions on the Linear Path, where as Soil the Spiral. Mist as an element can be harnessed for various uses such as magic, energy, food, life, etc - but the thing to remember about Mist is that at the end of the day it is an element of creation and it is used to as an energy source to accomplish various things. Even if that thing is providing a being with life itself.
In order to activate this energy one has to be attuned to the mist and generally that means being born to it and having Celestial Blood of some form or another within their being. Mist will only activate and obey the commands of it's user when a linear path is drawn - or a straight line. If there is even the slightest curve within the path made, Mist will not activate and whatever effect that was to attempt to be used will fail to do anything.
So blade masters who use Mist based magics and attacks do so with perfectly straight slices of their blade or paths drawn with their hands. Mist can be activated by any straight line motion regardless of what the line was created with. Even a mere twig is enough to summon Mist's mighty force.
Beings of Soil cannot use magics born of Mist as they are not Mist attuned and due to Soil's habit of having rather nasty reactions when mixed with it's opposing counterpart.
Mist comes in a varying array of colors, but only Pure-Blooded Celestials ever display them. They come in every color of the rainbow excluding black (hue) and are generally reflected in the Celestial's hair color and breath.

─── ⋆⋅ ♰ ⋅⋆ ─── Hopea Sumu is the Piipsa of Misterica's Church - meaning he is the highest ranking member of their Religious Council and the head of the Church's half of the Misterican Government. This allotted Sumu a certain level of power to accomplish his goals throughout that of Misterica's whole. He was effectively Misterica's second King and the two had to work together in tandem to bring about prosperity for the people.
Sumu was an extremely pious man that was praised and hailed for the majority of his life for the color of his mist but the color of his mist while extremely light in color was a double edged sword. He was so close to white - but not quite white - and this in turn made Sumu become an extremely angry man.
He thinks less of multiple colors of mist due to the effects they carry - that being green, pink and brown - and has swayed most of the public into adopting his beliefs as he presents them as the words of the Celestial Mother herself, to make the populace that she would think less of some of her children.
Sumu is also extremely pro-the war with Windaria if only due to his extreme hatred of the Windarians and their worship of the "Demon Lord Bahamut". So he was displeased when the ceasefire went into effect during Aurinko's early days as King because it also ended some of the pull Sumu had over the public through the use of fear.
Worse yet, Sumu's mist - Silver in nature - has the ability to charm anyone who inhales this nearly invisible mist. Sumu often ignores the Sumunaamio mandate and prefers to carry about his business however he sees fit. He, however, does honestly believe that what he's doing is for the good of Misterica and the Royal Family as a whole.
Even if that's forcibly removing members of the Royal Family from power if he thinks they're not fit to lead. As speaker of the Celestial Mother he takes his position seriously and handles his matters with a cold heart, unbothered how his actions could be affecting those around him.
Due to the double edged nature of his mist, he has a less than pleasant relationship with Valkoinen Pilvi - often yelling at the child when he thinks he's acting outside of his holy boundaries and viewing the boy as less of a person and more as a Holy Artifact. If his binds and his parents won't make the boy act as a Holy Vessel should then he'll be the won't to handle the child with a firm hand because someone has to.
